An Opelousas building is about to get some much needed repairs.
Possible mold problems are being addressed at the city's purchasing building following an anonymous complaint to the Department of Health and Hospitals.
The building has a leaky roof, which is causing problems with the ceiling tiles.
Today, Mayor Donald Cravins announced a plan to fix the neglected facility.
It includes roof repairs and replacing ceiling tiles.
Cravins hopes to get the work done before the end of the month. He says "we're working on this one, working as quickly as we can. Can't perform miracles but we're trying as hard as we can to make it happen."
